Deer studies

animals on ice #2

well have a few more animals and a tree and a termite hill
I have really gotten into drawing with cheap crayons lately I like the way it goes down on the paper it spreads quickly like pastel but I have more control, with pastels I always felt like I was fighting to kept the color from exploding into a horrible mess. With the crayons I get a result that I am much happier with

One of the most enjoyable things I can do on any day is to go to my local coffee shop and get out the old sketch book and just go to work. I get lost in trying to catch the funny way people wonder around the store. Some peole huntch over there books like their afraid someone will steal the book while their in the middle of reading. The little old ladies always look like they are a bit lost in all the choice set before them. THe Old men are funny they always look at books as him their trying to decide the best way to take the book apart. anyway enough talk I give drawings

animal kingdom on ice

chuck jones

"There was a time when the feature was invariably preceded by a cartoon, and the audiences smiled when they heard the music for "Looney Tunes" and "Merrie Melodies " From Warner Bros. Cartoons have Long since been replaced by 20 minutes of paid commercials in many theatres, an emblem of the greed of exhibitors and their contempt for their audiences." This was an interesting post from roger ebert
